Ottawa Women Bloggers: Let's meet on Thursday, June 11!
The pregnant lady has spoken! Inspired by the BlogHer meetups happening all across North America in the weeks to come, Ottawa's strutting its Women in Blogging stuff too.
#ottawomen shall meet on Thursday, June 11 beginning at 6 pm at the Heart and Crown in the ByWard Market (location picked completely arbitrarily by me). I'll update with an exact "location" in the Heart and Crown before Thursday as the Irish Village is huge and so I will try to get us an area reserved when we have solid numbers.
This event is open to all Ottawa Women Bloggers and Social Media Types. Don't know anybody? Don't worry, I don't know anybody either. ;) but if nothing else, we can talk about... blogs.
Enticement: ecochick will bring a giveaway of something from her Tickle Trunk of ecofriendly products as a door prize. If you would like to bring a prize or promo for your blog, please bring it along (post it in the comments if you can so that everyone can get excited!)
ENORMOUS CAVEAT! If I go in to labour I won't be there. So please, please keep the chatter going on Twitter using the tag #ottawomen just in case!

Very coo! I will certainly plan to be there, although, I will likely have to bring my little girlie (4 mths) since it's bedtime. Think that's okay given location?
Rebecca - I'm sure it's fine, bars definitely allow kids during mealtimes. I'll make sure we're not sitting beside a band or anything too :)
I have a signed copy of Laurie Kingston's Not Done Yet that I can offer up.
I plan to be there! Looking forward to it.
My 5 month old will also have to be in attendance with me. No high chair or anything needed as he'll likely be in a wrap.

I don't think the Heart and Crown has a band. I think the sometimes have live music but I think it is of the "one guitarist" sort. I don't think you have to worry about a Thursday evening.

Came down with the flu (really bad muscle cramps). Not sure if I'll make it but I'll try if I'm better. Will try to make the next one if there's one! (I don't have a baby, is that okay? :-D)
Pesky paid work has got in the way for Thursday evening; specially annoying because I have planned for this meetup; I'm looking for some input from Ottawomen.
Would anyone be interested in helping out with @AskAroundOttawa while I am away from Ottawa for 2.5 weeks in June? I have one volunteer to help flip the RTs, so one more helper to watch out for questions and shepherd responses will be enough to keep things running. It won't be a massive commitment because I will be online most days too and I will be asking other tweets to help by directing Qs towards the account.
