.... of those who deserve it, of course. Only them.(And because I'm so skilled at humiliating *myself* in public, I might as well share the love...)
I'm pretty softhearted when it comes to individuals. I don't really like to point and laugh at people who faceplant. I cringe at the Friends episodes where Joey screws things up royally and gets in trouble. The Just for Laughs gags make me turn the channel. But when it comes to corporations, I am the biggest critic out there. From Motrin Moms to bad pitches, I have a pretty big mouth when I see someone completely bungle a social media campaign. And therefore, this is perfect for a bigmouth jackass like me.
There's a panel at SXSW Interactive called the Suxorz. At the Suxorz, they do their best to name and shame the worst social media campaigns of the year. Here's a recap of last year's panel, which called out such bigshots as HP, Cisco, Whole Foods and many more for social media ineptitude. Seriously, how much fun would this be? Plucking the most hated social media campaigns from my brain, not to mention sussing out plenty more, and getting to choose which one stinks the most? HOW WOULD I NOT ROCK AT THIS?
They have three panelists, and they're looking for one more. It's being decided by vote. You know you need to vote. Preferably for me, of course. I promise to do you proud. You can vote here. Or you can check out more about the Suxorz 2009 here.
Thanks for participating, and I'll see you in Austin!
4 things to say:
I voted for you! But the link that you put to the vote doesn't work (I got an error).
Ooh thanks for the heads up Michelle - fixed it! Once you vote, you can't see the voting link again so I couldn't see that it was broken.
Oh my god, that sounds like an awesome panel. I already wanted to go to SXSW but now even more so.
