Business Cards!

I have come home from BlogHer with a stack of business cards, the like of which I have never seen in my life. Business cards at BlogHer are a very different thing than average business cards. They aren't just your contact details. They're your spirit, your personality. They're marketing tools. They're a way to express yourself. They are seriously, seriously fun.

Here are the cards I got at BlogHer.

Tons! The task of visiting every blog I got a card for (which I promised myself before I went to BlogHer) will take time.

Some cards really stood out. They were seriously works of art. The creativity amazed me.

The first ones that struck me were the cards that you can get at Flickr.

What a great idea on Flickr's part. These I loved. They're a unique size, double sided, you can upload your own photos and can actually upload a selection so that your cards are all different. Lots of people used these, and they were all drop dead cute.

Other favourites...

Isn't this a riot? I love the graphics, love the colours, love the little apple on the back of the little computer. Plus, this was one of the women who, when I got her card, went "Ohmigod! You're KERFLOP!" Hee.

I love this one because I love the flowers and the green, and because I love Jen Lemen. She is a wonderful soul.

This one was cool. Square, so different. Black and white. Very cool graphic concept. Double sided. And the kicker? Double thick card stock. I drooled over these with their owner. I want.

This was a flickr card, but I loved it particularly because of the tagline and the cool combination of fonts. Crazed. Hee.

I, Asshole speaks for itself. As does its owner. I got a great tutorial on Sunday on how to dye and maintain one's hair in the most vivid shade of fuschia I've ever seen on a human head. This one's going on the blogroll.

Love the little orange dancing man.

This is an excellent design. The graphic is simple but very cool. Love the little flowers. Love the upright design.

In summary, here's all my favourite cards, the ones that really caught my eye (including the ones above). Now, this does not relate really whatsoever to whether or not they're my favourite blogs. But this post is about the cards, people.

Lessons here? Your cards show your personality. And if you make them stand out, they'll be more memorable, more eye catching. Like I said, I'm visiting every blog I got a card for... and I will probably visit these ones first. :)

Funny post because I am cruising through my business cards and yours led me here! Mine is that Mile High Mamas one. You know, that link that is not yet active and will launch next month. :-)

Great blog and I am happy to have landed here!

Nap warden, I do not appear to have your card, but I will definitely check out your blog. Love the handle. I need a nap warden around this joint, The Husband does not have enough respect for the Nap!

Amber - I loved your card and am endlessly curious as to where the title comes from. Is it because you live in the mountains or have you been dirty girls on airplanes? :)

Thanks for including my card. : ) I had no idea last year that cards were part of the deal, so this year I was determined to be prepared.

Great to meet you!
